John Tiller, attorney and beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away at the age of 82 on Friday, April 24. Born in a small town outside Nacogdoches, Texas on August 10th 1938 to John and Margaret Tiller. He attended school in Nacogdoches before completing his Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1960.

After graduation he was accepted into the prestigious law program at Harvard Law School where he earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 1963. He practiced law for nearly forty years with many accomplishments including serving as President of the local Bar Association for three terms during the late 1970s and early 1980s. His legal career included representing numerous corporate clients as well as providing pro bono services to individuals who needed assistance navigating through difficult times.

He is preceded by his parents; survived by his wife Patricia Tiller; daughter Janet Miller (Cary); son Jack Tiller (Stacy) ; brother Robert Tiller (Annette) ; grandchildren: Tyler Miller, Benjamin Miller , Jakelyn Jackson , Katelyn Smithson , Sydney Jackson , Lauren Smithson .
